Struggles in the Japanese automotive industry mean that, for the first time in years, American car manufacturers have dominated the sales charts for the month of June. Chrysler in particular recorded an astonishing 30% gain. GM and Ford also had a good month with each company recording 14% and 11% gains respectively.
The best-selling car for the month is the new Chevy Cruze, beating out former chart toppers like the Honda Civic and Toyota Camry. However, the best-selling vehicle across all categories is America’s favorite pickup truck, the Ford F-Series.
Here are the top 10 best-selling cars for the month of June:
- Ford F-Series (49,618)
- Chevy Silverado (32,579)
- Chevy Cruze (24,896)
- Chevy Malibu (23,737)
- Ford Escape (22,274)
- Ford Focus (21,385)
