Buying a car is a huge investment, so you had better make sure that you don’t end up owning a dud. Just what are the worst cars in the market? Forbes may have an answer to that.
Using the six reliability and performance studies conducted by Consumer Reports this year, the panel for Forbes selected any car, SUV or truck that was named the worst in at least two of those categories. From the streamlined list, the panel would then choose the 10 cars they deem to have the least value for money.
Quick facts
Aside from the Mercedes-Benz S550, Nissan Titan and Smart Fortwo, the cars that made the list were from domestic brands.
Despite this statistic, none of Ford’s cars made the list.
The Mercedes-Benz S550 is the only car in the list without any reliability issues. Its high price tag and gas-guzzling features were its weak points.
