The California Food Stamp program helps low-income workers, senior citizens, the disabled and other people in need get adequate food for themselves and their families. Food stamp eligibility is based on gross and net income limits.
In most cases, the California food stamp program monthly gross and net income limits are as follows:
- $1,127 gross and $867 net for households with only one member
- $1,517 gross and $1,167 net for households with two members
- $1,907 gross and $1,467 net for households with three members
- $2,297 gross and $ 1,767 net for households with four members
- $2,687 gross and $2,067 net for households with five members
- $3,077 gross and $2,367 net for households with six members
- $3,467 gross and $2,667 net for households with seven members
- $3,857 gross and $ 2,967 net for households with eight members
For households with more than eight members, add $390 to the total gross monthly income and $300 to the total net monthly income for each additional member of the household.
Keep in mind that the application of these limits may differ if some members of the household are elderly, disabled or are already receiving other welfare payments.
