The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, provides budget assistance for low-income families to buy nutritious food. The program is only intended to assist with a household’s food budget – it’s not meant to cover for the household’s entire food budget.

Benefits are issued through Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards. Household size and financial situation will be factored in when determining the amount of benefits to be received.
