The Massachusetts worker retraining program gives dislocated and unemployed adult individuals the opportunity to re-join the workforce with upgraded skills in the most practical and cost-effective ways.

Aside from support in training, the state today has a strong commitment to helping workers with its unique entrepreneurial training programs to strengthen their economic competitiveness.

Who may qualify for training?
Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), statewide financial support will be given to dislocated workers through employment, training activities and supportive services. The One-Stop Career Centers in the state are making training a top priority, ensuring skills development and a wide range of career options. By retraining to a new area of expertise, workers can be placed in high-growth and emerging industries, such as energy, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and wireless services.
